Citizens of Ukiah: Are you tired of $1.5 million-dollar settlements for police misconduct?
Your government is brewing another misconduct settlement in the making. Granted, everyone should be innocent until proven guilty; even Eric Rodello… who did not afford me that right prior to accusing me of a serious felony without any evidence whatsoever. That said, the next taxpayer-funded misconduct settlement-in-waiting relates to a Federal Civil Rights lawsuit filed by Arturo and Elizabeth Valdes. Looking back, I saw what might be an associated DUI encounter with the UPD in Apr21. In this encounter, allegedly, Sgt. Ron Donohue led “Officer” Eric Rodello and Officer Parker in the encounter. The filing says that Donohue “repeatedly punched Defendant in the face, breaking Defendant’s nose, sinus cavity and eye socket”. This all happened about 4 months before Rodello threatened me using implications which he knew to be false, and he did this on video. I have noted Donohue’s misconduct. Is anyone really surprised that the City of Ukiah is facing another lawsuit of this nature, involving
